It’s currently very hot. So, the blog is taking a break. It will return in August hopefully feeling refreshed and renewed!

In the meantime, here are some great places to get inspired about your creative practice and your creative business:

Hurry Slowly

This podcast by Jocelyn K Glei is jam-packed with lots of great interviews with people who are actively considering or working to change people’s attitudes to how they work. The over-arching theme of the podcast is how you can be more productive, creative and resilient through the simple act of slowing down.

I can also recommend Jocelyn’s newsletter which highlights new ideas about how to be more creative and make time for work that matters.

The 21st Century Creative

This podcast, by poet and creative coach Mark McGuinness features insights and musings by Mark about creativity, personal and professional development. In each episode he also interviews ‘outstanding creators’ from a wide range of backgrounds. I have found that although I initially wonder if an interview with a poet, a voice coach or an author of thrillers will hold much relevant to me, I am always happy to find that the creative impulse and the act of creating and making a creative business work is universal.

And, if you haven’t already, do sign up to Mark’s 21st Century Creative Foundation Course. It’s free and you will receive 26 (!) emails that will teach you the knowledge and skills you need to achieve your ambitions as a creative professional. It would be silly not to!
